FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY EVALUATION:

Husker Rehabilitation and Wellness Centers perform Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) using the Ergoscience program. The purpose of functional capacity evaluations is to determine the patient’s ability to return to work, reducing the potential for re-injury. The evaluation can assist in determining tolerance for certain work duties, any restrictions or modification that the patient should follow once returning to work, possibly a percentage of disability for the patient, and the need for continued rehabilitative services. The goal of the program is to provide the individual, physician and the employer, with the objective information to develop a safe and appropriate return to work plan if deemed necessary. The patient is asked to perform as series of activities that simulate on the job work. The FCE tests for maximum objective strength, work ability, and endurance while removing the fear of injury. Insurance companies, physicians, employers, families, self or rehabilitation specialist and attorney’s can all refer patients for a Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE).

Pre employment Screens

Pre employment Screens are used by employers to test the physical abilities of would be employees. Husker Rehabilitation screens the potential employees and looks for endurance, physical abilities, previous injuries, and any restriction they might have that could possibly be a work hazard for the employee and the employer. We then contact the employer and explain the findings of the pre-employment screen.

D.O.T Physicals

Husker Rehabilitation and Wellness Centers D.O.T. physicals, drug, and alcohol collection. We perform this at our Beatrice facility in conjunction with the pre-employment screening. This service is U.S. Department of Transportation Certified.
